Obituary of Barbara HERNANDEZ

Barbara June Hernandez, 67, passed away August 30, 2007 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born to Robert and Evelyn Atkins on June 27, 1940 in Inglewood, CA.Barbara married her best friend Fred Hernandez on March 15, 1958 and together they made Lake Havasu their home 12 years ago from Hawthorne, CA. She was the manager for Vans Tennis Shoes in Torrance, CA for 13 years.Barbara loved to play bingo, painting, knitting, cake decorating arts and crafts, especially stamping and making cards. She was involved in little league baseball and softball for over 20 years in Hawthorne, CA. She and Fred enjoyed camping during their 50 years of being happily married and she had unconditional love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Fred Hernandez of Lake Havasu; sons, Bobby Hernandez of California and J.R. Hernandez Jr. of Lake Havasu; daughter Netty (Tom) Tremblay of Hawthorne, CA; sisters, Jean Strader of Lake Havasu, Joann (Jim) Lowe of Norco, CA and Debbie (Bill) Croft of Washington; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Maltby.A memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2007, 1:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.
