Obituary of Margaret JOHNSON

MARGARET L. JOHNSONMargaret L. Johnson "Peggy", 81, passed away on September 1, 2007 at Havasu Regional Medical Center. She was born in Long Beach, California on November 11, 1925 and lived there until her retirement in 1990 from Long Beach Community Hospital after 30 years of service. She retired to Lake Havasu City in December of 1990, a town she truly loved.Peggy is survived by loving family; son Bill Johnson and his wife Linda from Long Beach, California; daughters Laurie Kaupang from Sheridan, Wyoming and Julie Shanahan and her husband Loras from Dubuque, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; cousins Bob Astenius and his wife Tandie from Ramona, California, Ben Astenius from Tucson, Arizona and Bob Astenius Jr. from La Palma, California. Friends Juanita Richardson and Joe Fordyce also retired from Long Beach Community Hospital and moved to Lake Havasu City and long-time friends Ed and Noni Bishop retired to Big River, California.She was preceded in death by one grandchild and one great grandchild.Peggy enjoyed reading, watching sports and old classic movies, talking on the phone, and was very opinionated lady on many issues.
