Obituary of Helena BORCHERT

Helena "Sandy" (Buscarnera) Borchert, 84, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2007 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on February 8, 1923 in Manhattan, NY; to Andrew and Helena (Gordon) Sanders.Helena moved to Arizona 21 years ago and has lived here in Lake Havasu City for the past 18 years. She worked as a banquet waitress for 30 years in New York City, where she got to meet many important people and movie stars. Helena was an active member of the Senior Center, where she was responsible for the recycling of greeting cards.Helena is survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Alvin "Al" Borchert; children, Patty Marcus and husband Paul; Ed Quick and wife Pat; Judy Ramon and husband Tony; Nina Rothamel and husband Larry; Vincent Buscanera and wife Jen; daughters-in-law Diane Quick and Rachel Fulgenico; step-children; John Borchert and partner Jim Meuer; Jerry Borchert and wife Martha; Esther Vozza and husband Brian and Sherri Winton; nephew, Bruce Borchert and wife Sharon; cousins, Delores Clark and Sally Hassler; sister-in-law, Claire Sanders; grandchildren, Paul Vincent, Brandy, Scott, Chrissi, Sherri, Frances, David, Daniel, Brian, Nick, Julia, Sidney, Drake and Sierra; step-grandchildren; Katherine, Taylor, Jordan, Cameron and Rachel Evans; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Emelia, Madison, Kaylin, Christen, Kevin, Sean, Nichole, Vincent, Amber, Austin, Ariana and Bryce; and great great-granddaughter, Phoenix. She was preceded in death by sons, Sidney and Gilberto and grandchildren, James and Dawn.A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Friday, September 28, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be expressed by Deacon Denis Froemming and Pastor Douglas P.
