Obituary of Fred HAAS

FRED C. HAAS, JR.SEPTEMBER 8, 1927 - OCTOBER 1, 2007Fred C. Haas Jr., was ushered into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 1, 2007. Fred was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a good friend to all who knew him.Fred was born to Fred C. and Edna Haas September 8, 1927 in Booneville, Missouri. Upon graduating from high school, Fred enlisted in the navy and served in the Korean War.He married his one and only love, Melita (Skeeter) and had one son, Fred C. Haas, III. Fred and Melita moved to Las Vegas and onto California where they owned and ran multiple Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants. He was a Master Mason and Shriner. Fred retired from food sales and spent his retirement years woodworking, playing golf and watching baseball.Fred is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Skeeter, his mother and father and brothers, Lester and Blain Haas.Fred leaves behind his Sister, Anne Rowe, one son Fred C. Haas, III and his wife Linda, one grandson Fred C. Haas, IV and his wife Tessa and two great grandchildren Hailey and Liam.Fred will be missed by his family and friends but we have the assurance of his life with the Lord and look forward to a wonderful reunion together with Christ on His day of triumph.Private services were held with the family.
