Arnold Leonard Grusell (George Burns), 90, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2007. He was born on March 23, 1917 in Cleveland, OH; to John and Elma Grusell. Arnold was involved here in the states making munitions in the war effort of WWII. He graduated from Collinwood High in Cleveland, OH. Arnold worked as a tool and die maker all his life and didn't retire until his 76th, birthday. He was very active in Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church and helped in the soup kitchen. Arnold was a member of the Knights of Columbus, an avid square dancer with the London Bridge Squares, enjoyed traveling, camping, bicycling, flying, reading (Ernest Gann his favorite author), photography and joking with family and friends. He was known locally as George Burns, whom he often dressed as, with cigar and all. Arnold will be greatly missed by all who knew him.Arnold married La Verne Lateral on September 3, 1942, who preceded him in death in December 1993. He adopted his wife's son, Paul as his own son, who resides in Gig Harbor, WA. He had two more sons; Jerry Grusell of Horseshoe Bend, ID; and Dale Grusell, whom he resided with here in Lake Havasu City, AZ; from July 1994 till January 2007, when he entered assisted living and later Havasu Nursing Center, where he passed away; sister-in-law, Alvera Justice of Canyon Lake, TX; and grandchildren, Sadie Grusell of Salmon, ID; and Brandon Grusell of Amherst, OH.A Scripture service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Friday, October 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be expressed by Deacon Patrick ToiloloCondolences and thoughts can be made to his family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
