Obituary of John Paul Corey

John Paul Corey passed away on September 29, 2015 at 88 years of age in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to John and Mary Corey on December 1, 1926 in New Kensington, PA. He was a decorated World War II Veteran and he earned a bachelor's degree in business at Grove City College of PA where he met his lovely wife to be, Catherine Martin. They were married in San Francisco, CA and shared over 50 years together. He moved to Santa Fe in 1975 and worked as an interior decorator until he started his own interior design business in 1977. He operated his business successfully for 20 years until he moved to Lake Havasu where he continued to dabble in interior design locally. He enjoyed writing letters to the editor of the Lake Havasu News Herald where he was published numerous times. He was very well read and interested in science fiction. He was very unique and artistic and interested in everything. John is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Corey and parents, John and Mary Corey. He is survived by his sons, Paul M. Corey (Renee) of Concord, CA and Timothy M. Corey of Santa Fe, NM; daughter, Sandra White (David) of Manteca, CA; sisters, Betty Jane Furka of Butler, PA and Mary Lou Corey of FL; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
