Theodore Joseph Voss, 61, passed away on November 19. 2007 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Ted, as he was known to his family and friends, was born on February 19, 1946 in La Mesa, CA; to George and Lula (Smith) Voss.Following graduation from high school in 1965, Ted enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country for 3 years in active duty. He then joined the army reserve and served in the reserves for an additional 30 years.Among Ted's hobbies were taking his family camping, hiking, hunting, traveling and gold prospecting. But most important to Ted were his children, Heidi and Brandon. Ted and his wife made Lake Havasu City, AZ; their home 3 years ago coming from Visalia, CA. He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance in Visalia, CA; and attended the Havasu Alliance Church. He also was a lifetime member of the NRA and belonged to the Gold Seekers Club. Ted is survived by his wife of 37 years, Deberah, son Brandon Voss of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and daughter, Heidi Voss of Visalia, CA. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007 at Lietz-Fraze Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services and military honors will take place on Saturday, November 24, 2007, also at Lietz-Fraze Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Words of comfort and inspiration will be expressed by Pastor John Maki.A Celebration of Ted's life will be held at the Fellowship Hall of the Parkside Chapel in Visalia, CA; on December 1st, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.Donations in Ted's name can be made to the Local Chapter of the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans), 266 London Bridge Rd.
