Obituary of Howard ENGELBRECHT

Howard Clarence Engelbrecht, 85, passed away on December 18, 2007 in Las Vegas, NV. He was born on June 9, 1922 in Two Rivers, WI; to Henry W. and Erma (Zermuehlen) Engelbrecht. Howard moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 27 years ago from Engleside, IL. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers, WI; attended Aeronautical School of Aviation and Lewis College of Aviation for 2 years in Lockport, IL. Howard retired from Commonwealth Edison in Chicago, IL; after working 3l years. He also retired as Master Chief of Aircraft Maintenance from the U.S. Navy reserves, serving 23 years, with 4 years in active duty. Howard had a strong faith in Jesus and was an active member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. At various times, he served as President of the congregation and on many of its boards and committees. In his more able years, he dedicated much time and energy to the building projects of the church. Howard loved to golf and be with friends. He was also involved in the Anglers United fish habitat program. Howard was a true gentleman and known for his kind heart. He was dearly loved and will be missed by many.Howard is survived by his sister, Lois E. Cowling of Lake Havasu City, AZ.
