Gladys Jean Kirkpatrick, 88, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2008 in Kingman, AZ. She was born on June 9, 1919 in Leechburg, PA; to Fredrick and Vernice (Painter) Swank.Gladys married Arthur Kirkpatrick, lived in Pennsylvania and together they had 4 children. They moved to the west coast, settling first in Washington then to Southern California, then to Oregon and finally in Lake Havasu City, AZ; 22 years ago. Gladys worked as a medical assistant in California for 12 years and worked at Taco Hacienda here in Lake Havasu City for 4 years. In her spare time, Gladys was an avid reader and loved her dogs.Gladys is survived by her son James Kirkpatrick of Lamoille, NV; daughters, Barbara Schmidt of Aurora, OR; Debbie Kirkpatrick of Kingman, AZ; sister, Ann Joseph of Cape Cod, MA; grandchildren, Bobby, Dina, Mark, Shelli, Lori and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur, son, Robert and brother, James.Contributions may be made in Gladys's name to the Lake Havasu/Mohave County Search and Rescue, P.O.
