Raymond R. Bibby passed away Saturday February 9, 2008 in Lake Havasu City. He was born July 21, 1919 in Baker, Oregon to Horace and Virginia (Morrison) Bibby.He attended a diesel trade school in Portland, Oregon after attending high school in Salem, Oregon. He enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in 1939 proudly serving for 6 years, including duty on LST 768 in the South Pacific as CMoMM.Ray married Bernadine Cooper in Salem, Oregon on April 2, 1946. Together they farmed in Marion County, Oregon for 2 years. They homesteaded in Tulelake California and farmed for 9 years and in 1958 traded for land in Wellton-Mohawk Irrigation District in East Yuma County, Arizona., where they farmed there until 1978 when they retired to Lake Havasu City. Ray was member of Community Presbyterian Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 9401.Ray is survived by his loving family; wife of 61 years Bernadine of Lake Havasu City; son Duane (Jeanette) Bibby of Fortuna, California and Lake Havasu City; daughters Laura (Dave) Fremder of Garland, Texas and Anita Simpson of Lake Havasu City; 5 grandchildren, Joel (Christina) and Kevin Fremder, Jayson (Lisa) Simpson, Eden (John) Ward and Leslie (John) Melies; 8 great grandchildren, Megan Covin, Sarah and Audrey Fremder, Kayla, Jack, Sam, Max and Jay Simpson; brother Max (Arlene) Bibby and sister Irene St. Onge. Preceding him in death were his parents Horace and Virginia Bibby and his brother Delbert Bibby a WWII vet.Funeral services will be held at Community Presbyterian Church on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 11:00 AM. with Rev. David Bybee officiating.
