Obituary of Dona GROSS

Dona Irene Gross passed away February 14, 2008 in Pomona, CA at the age of 89. She was born to Mark and Jennie (McKeown) Schoyer on December 9, 1918 in Lawrenceville, IL.Dona grew up in Indiana, worked as an aircraft assembler during WW II and enjoyed her important role as wife to Chuck Gross (deceased 9/07) and mother to her only son. She loved to watch the birds, look at flowers, ride horses, enjoyed her pet dogs and enjoyed all that the out of doors offered. Her favorite restaurant was the Lake Havasu Elks Club. Dona left Lake Havasu to live with her son Chuck and daughter-in-law Vivian on October 30, 2007. While there she enjoyed life to the fullest, seeing her great grandchildren, and grandchildren. She is survived by her son Chuck; daughter-in-law Vivian; 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as a sister who lives in Illinois.A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 23, 2008, 11:00 AM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.
