Obituary of Beverley Lee Gramley

Beverley Gramley, 84, of Lake Havasu City AZ, passed away November 22, 2013. She was born May 12, 1929 to Lawrence and Anna Geneva Gramley, in San Pedro CA. In 1947 Beverley married her high school sweetheart, Jim Jennings. Together they had 3 children and they resided in Willits, CA for 15 years. In 1962 Beverley married her second husband, John Vorhies and continued to raise her family adding one more child. Beverley was a hard working independent woman. She worked 2 full time jobs for several years in addition to her full time job of "single parent". She lived in Downey, CA for 33 years where she worked for Rubatex before relocating to Lake Havasu City, where she resided for 11 years. She worked for All American Battery for 9 years she loved her job. At the age of 80, she could not bare to sit home and not be employed so she then worked at London Bridge Air. Beverley lived a modest life. She had a close bond, and strong relationships with each of her children. She had a great sense of humor, sharp wit, was a great role model and mentor. She will be truly missed and will remain in our hearts and thoughts forever. She is survived by her children; Terry Jennings, Ted (Diane) Jennings and Alison Vorhies; niece, Joanne (Favorite Nephew, Randy) Seastruck; grandchildren, Brett (Cathy) Harper, "her best friend", Daria (Daniel) Wininger, Steven Robert Jennings, J'anna Jennings, Summer Jennings-McKinney, Alex Calhoun, and great-grandchildren, Craig Merritt, Luke Wininger, Travis Wininger, Mitchell Keoni Harper, Maddison Figueredo. She is preceded in death by her son, Steven Jennings. Funeral Services will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, December 14th at 11:00 AM with Visitation starting at 10. A reception will follow. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cypress Hill in California at a later date.
