Kitty I. Hibbs, age, 82, passed away at home in Lake Havasu City, AZ on Saturday, March 22, 2008. Kitty was born March 8, 1926 in Mt. Pleasant, TX; to O.D. and Mandy Goolsby. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. Kitty married Woody Hibbs June 26, 1948 and they had one daughter, Vicki Lynn, born August 29, 1949. Kitty spent numerous years working at Victory Baptist Church in Kennadale, TX and Grace Baptist Temple in San Antonio, TX as an administrative assistant to the pastor, Rev. Woodrow P. Hibbs, her husband. She retired from the Ft. Worth Independent School district where she was a library clerk at Dunbar High School. She attended Worth Baptist church in Fort Worth, TX; where she participated in many activities. Kitty loved music and loved to sing. She was a beloved wife and mother and friend.Survived by daughter Vicki Russell and her husband Mike of Lake Havasu City, AZ and grandson Paul Russell of Nashville, TN; sisters in law, Edith Goolsby of Mt.Vernon, TX, Iva Aitken and husband Harry of Oracle, AZ; Eithel Hibbs of Tucson, AZ; Priscilla Hibbs of Phoenix, AZ; Lois Howard of Chandler, AZ; nephews, David Goolsby Jr. of Sulphur Springs, TX; Barry Hibbs of Pasadena, CA; Howard Aitken and Glenda of Yuma, AZ; Lee Aitken, Gary Aitken and wife, Faith of Tucson, AZ; John Aitken, George Miller, Jere Miller and Jimmy Miller of Phoenix, AZ; Steven Hibbs and wife Roslyn of IL; Jody Huberty and Bill Hibbs of CA; and nieces, Linda Keith, of Forney,TX; Bertie Ann Ham and husband Ford, Sharon Walls and husband Paul, Sandra Holcomb and Emma Faye Holcomb of Mt. Pleasant, TX; Pat Trotter and husband Richard of Kilgore, TX; Betsy Hibbs of Phoenix, AZ; Eileen and husband Gordon and Ann Petrasek of Tucson, AZ; Paula Windler and husband Steven of Chandler, AZ; Andrea Sowell and Francia Huberty of CA; and many wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by husband Rev. Woodrow P. Hibbs; parents, O.D. and Mandy (McClung) Goolsby; sisters, Velma Holcomb and Lurlene LaPrade; brothers, Ray Goolsby and David Goolsby.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Mt. Olivet Funeral Home Chapel, 2301 N. Sylvania Ave, Ft. Worth, TX, 817-831-0511. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in the Garden of the Last Supper.
