Obituary of Evelyn HOWARD

Evelyn Inez Howard passed away April 14, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 87. She was born to Harry and Edna (Gardner) Baird on May 7, 1920 in Okemah, OK.Evelyn served under the direction of the United States Navy in the Nurses Corp during World War II. Following her services in the Navy, she continued working as a Registered Nurse for many years at Downey Community Hospital in Downey, CA and also two years at Havasu Regional Medical Center. Evelyn's passion for nursing was so great; she spent most of her free time volunteering for the Havasu Regional Auxiliary. While residing in Indiana, she was a member of the Christian Church. Besides volunteering for the hospital, she also loved her Wednesday night card games with her lady friends.Evelyn leaves behind her loving family, son, John (Denise) Howard of Lake Havasu; daughter Lee Ann Howard of Lacey, WA; grandchildren, Lisa Howard of Deer Park, WA and Kristy Howard stationed with the United States Air Force in South Korea.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frederick J.
