Jerry Duane Lee died after a short battle with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 69 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Robert and Elsie (Jensen) Lee on July 27, 1938 in Omaha, NE.From 1951 to 1954, Jerry served under the direction of the Nebraska National Guard and United States Army. In recent years he volunteered as a coordinator for the D.A.V. and he cared very deeply about his veterans. Jerry was an avid Bronco fan and enjoyed entertaining and playing cards at home. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #2399, Eagles #4299 and the American Legion Post 81.Jerry will be dearly missed by all those who knew him through the years. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 20 years, Karen "Kathy" Lee of Lake Havasu; son, Mikel (Lemona) Martinson of Needles, CA; daughter, Jerri Ann Lee of Desert Hot Springs, CA; step-son, Michael (Deborah) Stratton of San Bernardino, CA; sisters, Mary Ann (Carl) Frakes of Lake Havasu, Bobbie (Marlin) Kidd and Norma Lee, all from Nebraska City, NE and Dorothy Higgins of Fontana, CA; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.A visitation will take place Friday, April 25, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Scripture services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008, 9:30 am at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Interment will follow the services at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. The VFW Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81 will conduct full military honors.The family has requested that donations be made in Jerry's name to the Disabled American Veterans, 266 London Bridge Rd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
