Obituary of Marta BLAKE

Marta Josephine Blake, 80, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on December 3, 1927 in Hollywood, CA; to Earl and Hattie (Bowers) Catlin.While living in California, Marta worked as a waitress, which she truly enjoyed. It enabled her to meet many people from different walks of life, from sports figures to television and movie celebrities. Marta also worked as a cosmetician in Van Nuys, CA; at the Montgomery Ward store for many years. She also an avid bowler, teaming up with her daughter Nancy, but Marta's true passion and strength in her life was her family. She was a fun and outgoing person with a lot of friends. Marta will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.Marta is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Robert "Rocky" Blake; daughter, Nancy Westhoven and husband George of Lake Havasu City, AZ; son, William Freudiger and wife Debi of Canyon Country, CA; step-son, Lee Blake and wife Janice of Simi Valley, CA; step-daughters, Charlotte de la Haba and husband Rick of Bonita, CA; and Charlene Rappaport and husband Joe of Wills Point, TX; as well as her nine grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.No services are to be held.
