Kenneth J. Bain of Lake Havasu City died on April 22, 2008 at the age of 80. He was born to James and Carolyn (Waldenmaier) Bain on December 20, 1927 in Albany, NY. He served under the direction of the United State Marine Corp during World War II. While serving in the Marines he met his future bride, Gladys Watson at a USO dance in Washington DC. Together, Kenneth and Gladys made Lake Havasu City their home from Colonie, NY in 1974. He was a founding member of the Colonie, NY Elks and served as Exalted Ruler and State Vice President. Ken worked as a machine operator for McCulloch Corp. in Lake Havasu for 15 years.He was the loving husband for 61 years of Gladys Bain of Lake Havasu City; brother of Ronald Bain of Las Vegas; father of Diane Foster of Lake Havasu; grandfather of Nathan Benard of Colorado, Nicole Foster of Lake Havasu City and Danielle Jones of Florida; great grandfather of Ian, Carly and Liliana.Memorial services will be held Friday, May 2, 2008, 6:00 pm at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Thoughts of comfort and inspiration will be presented by Rev. Richard Rounds and full military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81.In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Heart Association of Lake Havasu, PO Box 1410, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405-1410.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
