Donald Ray Kinney passed away May 30, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 64 and is now in the arms of Jesus. He was born to Leo and Nannie Kinney on February 12, 1944 in Hamilton, OH.Don married his best friend and soul mate Betty Aguirre on November 1, 1980. He served his country proudly under the direction of the United State Marine Corp during the Vietnam War.From 1980 to 1983, Don thought he was getting into 'adventure gold mining' in Dome Rock area in Quartzsite on his 640 acre claim. But much to his surprise, his 'adventure' started to produce for him. When that failed to produce anymore, he started D&T Truck & Auto Repair in Quartzsite from 1984 to 1997. After he sold that business he went to work for Corral Chrysler in Parker from 1998 to 1999. The following year he went to work for Express Center in Quartzsite and left there in 2001. Don was always known as a 'go-getter' and was never happy just sitting around. When he wasn't busy working, Donald loved to go horseback riding, working in his garden and he especially loved cooking on the grill. He was also a member of the VFW.Donald leaves behind his beloved wife of 28 years, Eufemia "Betty" Kinney of Bouse, AZ; a wonderful daughter, Brittany Alexandria Kinney; mother, Nannie Jane Kinney of Hamilton, OH; brothers, Leo (Sandy) Kinney and Richard (Bonnie) Kinney; sisters, Betty Kinney, Connie Stewart, Irma (Lee) Frish, Patty (Gary) Karns, Eleanora Peck and Peggy (Rob) Clevenger. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He will be greatly missed.He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Kinney; two brothers, Jack and Timothy and one sister, Thelma DeChant.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's name to the American Cancer Society, 2929 E.
