Ida Mae Mitchell passed away at 75 years of age on February 29, 2016 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born to Elmer Clifford and Minnie Leonna Swedlund in Miles City, Montana on March 20, 1940. She was wed to Barry Mitchell in 1959. Ida grew up in Hawthorne, California and graduated from Hawthorne High School. She also lived in San Diego and Carlsbad, California, and also Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was an adventurous women who loved nature. She loved water skiing and was a big sports enthusiast. Ida followed the Padres and the Chargers and also liked to watch golf. She was a true "hockey mom", always cheering on her son. Ida took great pride in caring for her family and home. She is survived by her son, Michael D. Mitchell (Lisa) of Temecula, California; daughter, Terri A. Tweedie (Marlin) of San Diego, California; sister, Dawn Selene (Dennis) of Chico, California; nephews, Mitchel and Brent; and 6 grandchildren, Nick, Mikey, Joshua, Austin, Brandin, and Ryan. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Barry Mitchell; and grandson, Tommy. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
