Helen Isabel LaForge passed away June 30, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 84. She was born to Frank and Hazel (Wagner) Dobbertein on December 21, 1923 in Marshall, MI.Helen was a graduate from Marshall High School in Marshall, MI. She retired from the Kellogg Company in Battle Creek, MI as a packer after 25 years of service. Helen married her best friend Richard LaForge on April 6, 1950 and together they made Lake Havasu their home 38 years ago. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge. She had also worked in the deli department at Food Land in Lake Havasu for 10 years.Helen leaves behind her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard LaForge; daughter, Barbara Jean Green; grandchildren, Michael Green of Norwich, CT, and Eric Green of Houston, TX; nieces, Donna Harris and Cindy Mohn-Moon; nephew, Ronald Harris and seven great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Sophie (Dobbertein) Harris and Lucille (Dobbertein) Mohn.Services will be held at a later date at Oakridge Cemetery in Marshall, MI.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
