WILLIAM EDWARD "TED" MORDUEWilliam Edward Mordue passed away July 8, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 83. He was born to Arthur and Matilda (Reed) Mordue on March 25, 1925 in Flint, MI.Ted married the love of his life, Patricia Ann "Pat" MacNeven in Flint, MI on October 26, 1946. He served his country proudly under the direction of the United States Navy in the South Pacific during World War II, before spending 28 years as a successful salesman for Metropolitan Life Insurance in Flint. In 1973, he and Pat and their daughter ventured across country to make Lake Havasu City their home, where Ted became a real estate salesman until his retirement in 1995.Ted had a great sense of humor and always had a twinkle in his eye. He enjoyed striking up conversation with anyone he met, leaving them smiling. His gentle manner and sharp wit gave us all so many years of enjoyment. He will always be remembered for his storytelling, jokes, coffee drinking, singing, and the ability to still make his wife laugh after 61 years of marriage. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. Ted leaves behind his beloved wife and constant companion of 61 years, Pat of Lake Havasu; sons, Richard (Randi) Mordue of Lake Higgins, MI and Randal (Pamela) Mordue of Elizabethtown, KY; daughter, Lori Kirkwood of Lake Havasu; sister, Barbara (Dutch) Holland of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; his seven grandchildren, Vanessa (whom he fondly referred to as his second daughter), Tracy, Heather, Michelle, Jaime, Andrea and Shannon; great granddaughter, Kaitlyn; nieces, Julie and Sue and many other friends and neighbors.A Celebration of his Life will be held at the family's home on Sunday, July 13th from 1:00-3:00 p.m.In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of Havasu, P.O.
