NICHOLAS YOLLA 11/25/1922 12/4/2013 Nick Yolla, 91, passed away at his home after a brief illness. He celebrated his 91st birthday surrounded by family and friends. He was born to Generoso Yolla and Elveria Lizza on November 25, 1922 in Osceola Mills, PA. After his mothers passing his father moved his family to New York. Nick was proud to serve his country as a US Marine during WW II, he was honorably discharged having earned a good conduct medal. Upon returning from the war he married his sweetheart Judith Marinosci on August 14, 1946. They began their family in the Bronx, New York where he worked in the construction field as a welder and where he worked on many bridges in the city. Nick, Judy and 2 children moved to Brentwood, New York, there they expanded their family with two move children. Brentwood was their home for 37 years until they moved to Lake Havasu City in 1981 to join their four children and families. Nick enjoyed living in Lake Havasu City for 32 years. He was involved in various organizations as was a recipient of "The Good Guy Award" from the community. He was a proud member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, DAV, VFW and United Blood Services donating over 15 gallons of blood. Family and education meant everything to him later earning his high school diploma in 1970. Nick loved spending time with his family, many adventures with grand kids and seeing all of his great grandchildren, reading, volunteering and going to daily mass. He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and five sisters. He is survived by Judy his loving wife of 67 years; his four children son Nicholas Yolla (Joanne), daughter Laura Masche (Bill), daughter Barbara Palmieri (Steve) and son John Yolla; 9 grandchildren Nick Yolla, Billy Masche, Jimmy Yolla,(Gaby) Bryan Masche, Kristine Palmieri, Bobby Masche (Jennifer), Stephen Palmieri (Allie), Kimberly Palmieri and Anthony "Lucky" Yolla. He had 12 great grandchildren Jaxx and Jett Masche, Michaela Masche, Savannah, Bailey, Grant, Cole, Molli and Blake Masche, Cruz and Jesse Yolla and Ava Palmieri. He is also survived by 2 sisters Betty Franco of Bronx, NY and Alvera Bandyk (Ed) of Fountain Hills, AZ. He will be dearly missed by his wife Judy, his family and friends. His loving memory will go on forever in our hearts. Visitation will be on Friday December 6, 2013 at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel from 5 - 8 PM with a Rosary be said at 7 PM. Mass will be held on Saturday December 7, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church with Father Chauncey and Father Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens with Military Honor performed by VFW Post #9401 and American Legion #81.
