James Victor Liska passed away July 18, 2008 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 93. He was born on May 20, 1915 in Sycamore, IL to Victor and Myrtle (Loomis) Liska.James graduated from Elgin High School in Illinois and then went on to serve under the direction of the United States Navy during World War II. Following the service James went to a watch college in Elgin, graduating in 1947. He was a member of the VFW. James was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.He leaves behind his beloved family, sons, James Liska of Rancho Cordova, CA and John Liska of Gilbert, IL; daughters, Janice Heim of Summit, NJ and Shirley Maranto of Lake in the Hills, IL; sister, Francis Riebe; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty who passed away on June 6, 1993.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
