Wayne Rodell Horton, 71, passed away on July 22, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on March 16, 1937 in Quinn, South Dakota to Charles Wilkons and Blanche (Williams) Horton.Wayne moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 11 years ago from Puyallup, WA. He worked as a civilian contractor for the military with top secret clearance. He went on to run his own home building business for 17 years in Puyallup, WA. Wayne could fix anything or any problem and he always had a tool in his hand. He also was a home, small office and church builder. Wayne built 6 churches as a volunteer general contractor and working for God gave him great pleasure. Wayne loved to fly his Mooney plane and flying was his first love next to God, his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, trusted friend and great role model.Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carol A. Horton; sons, Robert Horton (Tammy) of Wenatchee, WA; Clayton Horton (Melissa) of Puyallup, WA; Scott Horton (Kristina) of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughters, Jackie Fox (John) of Ankorr, Turkey, Melinda Grimm (Vance) of Auburn, WA; brothers, Gaylord Horton (Marlene) of Rogue River, OR; Gene Horton (Mary) of Nebraska; grandchildren, Katie, Justin, Ryan, Chad, Courtney, Breanna, Samantha, Britney, Brandon, Alyssa, Zachary, Brett and Kendra and many other family and friends.A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers his family has requested that donations be made in Wayne's name to Hospice of Havasu, P.O. Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86405 or Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 1605 S.
