Milton Roger Olsen, 73, passed away August 1, 2008, at his home after suffering from cancer for several months. Milt, as he was known to his family and friends, was born on February 28, 1935, in Comstock, Wisconsin, to Einer and Ruth (French) Olsen. At age 9 he moved to Minnesota Lake, Minnesota to live with his brother Thorwald and sister-in¬law Sophie Olsen.Milt married Donna Mae Darlene Schroeder on March 13, 1954. They had 54 wonderful years together. He enlisted in the Army in 1953 and served his country until late 1955. In 1960 they moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where Milt worked for AiResearch for 30 years. He started as an Aircraft Mechanic and worked his way up in management. He was a General Supervisor on 2nd shift in the Tempe plant, called Allied Signal at the time of his retirement in 1990. After his retirement, they traveled full time in their 5th wheel travel trailer for 7 years. In 1996, they decided to settle down and bought a Park Model at Crazy Horse Campground in Lake Havasu, Arizona. They still traveled in the summer time. They saw all but four states in the United States. Milt enjoyed vacations with his family, traveling, cruising, fishing, golfing, and playing cards.Milt was preceded in death by his parents, Einer and Ruth (French) Olsen, one son Glen Roger Olsen, four brothers, Thorwald, Howard, Clifford and Lyle, and one sister, LeolaOlsen. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna; three sons, Mark (Jennifer) Olsen, Scott (Elpida) Olsen, Ronald (Carol) Olsen; five grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Andrew, Christina, and Glen; one step-grandchild, Joshua and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers: Virgel and Douglas and six sisters; Agnes Klinder, Arlene (Clem) Wiberg, Deloris Stabenow, Lucille (Steve) McIllargey, Sylvia Mead and Vivian (Wally) Seth and many, many nieces and nephews.A visitation will be held at Lamb of God Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m. for one hour on Tuesday, August 5, 2008. Funeral services will follow at the Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 2791 Inca Drive, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86406 at 11:00 a.m. Internment will be held the next day at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens for the family. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice of Havasu in Milt's name, P.O.
