Obituary of June POLLARD

June Laverne Pollard passed away August 8, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 72. She was born on May 4, 1936 in Washington, DC.June married John Pollard on November 6, 1971 and together they made Lake Havasu their home 10 years ago from San Antonio, TX. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. June and John enjoyed traveling. She also enjoyed bowling, her morning coffee sessions at Someplace Special and her lunches at Ken's Pizza. Most importantly, June's family and friends were everything to her.June leaves behind her beloved husband of 36 years, John Pollard of Lake Havasu; sons, Curtis (June) Birley of Waldorf, MD, Clifton Birley of Fisher, IL, Vernon (Barbara) Pollard of Booth Bay Harbor, ME and Eugene Pollard of Maylene, AL; daughters, Darlene (Donny) Morrison of Ft. Madison, IA, Lisa Gamble of Bessemer, AL and Dana Pollard of Sherman Oaks, CA; mother, Mary Hickerson; brothers, Wilfred (Carolyn) Hickerson of Egg Harbor, NJ and Wayne (Francie) Hickerson of Hagerstown, MD; sisters Beverly (Pete) Powell of Clear Spring, MD and Sandra (Bill) Kane of Leesburg, VA; mother-in-law, Bernice Pollard; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her father, Wilfred Hickerson.Donations may be made in June's name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
