Obituary of Harold SNELGROVE

Harold James Snelgrove Jr. passed away August 22, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 81. He was born to Harold Sr. and Frances (Harris) Snelgrove on August 31, 1926 in Fredonia, NY.Harold served proudly under the direction of the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. In 1963, he received his Masters Degree in English from Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA. Shortly following that, he joined the University of Oregon for Doctoral Studies in Community College Administration and Curriculum, completing all the work except his dissertation. Harold spent eight years teaching English at Eureka High School and then 37 years at College of the Redwoods, both in Eureka, CA.Harold loved to travel and was very devoted to his family.He leaves behind his son, Andrew Snelgrove of Scotts Valley, CA; brother, Jack Snelgrove; sisters, Ruth Johnson, Grace Tatham and Jean Wight, all of Lake Havasu and two grandchildren, Devon and Derryn.Memorial services will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008, 4:00 PM at Stonebridge Christian Fellowship. Pastor Richard Tatham will officiate.
