HERROLD J. "SHORTY" HENDERSONHerrold James Henderson passed away on August 28, 2008 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 85. Shorty, as he was known to all his friends was born on February 8, 1923 in Plymouth, IN to Orval and Iris (Woodfill) Henderson.Following high school, Shorty went on to serve in the United States Army attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. After serving his country, he went to work as a salesman in the automotive parts industry for 30 years.Shorty made Lake Havasu City his home 22 years ago moving here from Palm Desert, CA. Shorty was an active member of the Lake Havasu Detachment of the Marine Corps League, VFW Post 9401 and Elks Lodge 2399.He is survived by his son Jim Henderson of Spokane Valley, WA; sister, Hazel Henderson of Plymouth, IN; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
