Raymond O. Hackerott, 76, passed away on September 4, 2008 at his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ; with his family by his bedside. He was born in Osborne County, KS; on June 7, 1932 to Oscar and Ruth Hackerott and attended school and grew up in Osborne, KS.In 1950-54 Ray enlisted in the Marine Corps and spent 4 years in the service with 18 months in Korea. He moved to California and worked with construction. Ray married Ila Mae Greig, from Osborne, KS; on February 24, 1961, who survives him along with 3 children, Pamela Reyes and husband Richard of Las Vegas, NV; Tamra Kennedy of Poway, CA; and Robert Williams of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother Rex. Ray is also survived by his brothers, Keith, Gary and wife Shirley, David and wife Susan all of Osborne, KS; sisters, Doris and husband Loury of Osborne, KS; Linda Otte and husband Allen of Downs, KS; grandchildren, Reid, Kristian, Destiny of Las Vegas, NV; and Tallie and Rylee of Poway, CA; along with many nieces and nephews.Ray was a member of the Elks Lodge #2399 for 25 years and V.F.W. Post 8401. He loved his family and outdoor cooking.
