Elaine Gianella Lloyd passed away September 7, 2008, quietly at home after a long but courageous fight with cancer. She was born on September 5, 1938 in Torrington, CT; to Vittorio and Josephine Gianella. Elaine and her husband, Walter, moved to Lake Havasu in 1998, after her retirement from a career in banking.She was a member ofthe Western Welcome Club of Arizona, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and Red Hat Society. Elaine was also active in the International Chili Society as a judge and scorekeeper. She also worked for a short time at H&R Block in Lake Havasu and enjoyed being with people and active in the community.Her brother, John, and her parents preceded Elaine in death. She is survived by her husband, soul mate and love of her life, Walter; her best friend and daughter, Lisa Andria of Long Beach, CA; her son Gary Andria and his wife, Martha of Parker, CO; also two stepsons, Steven Lloyd and wife Michelle of Knoxville, TN; James Lloyd and wife Lynda of Denville, N.J. She had one grandson, Nicolas, and seven step grandchildren; Hope, Trevor, Charles, Grace, Brooke, Josie, and Jackson. Elaine loved, adored and doted on all ofthem. To all the grandchildren, she was their "Nonni". She always said she had the best daughter-in-laws in the world and loved them as if they were her daughters. Elaine also leaves many cousins, Godchildren and close friends far and near to whom she was very close to.A memorial in honor of her life will take place at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, September 20,2008 at 1 :00 p.m. and in October in Torrington, CT.Donations can be made in the name of Walter Lloyd at 2580 James Dr, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86404 to assist with the Mayo Clinic Medical bills that accumulated during the four years of their supportive treatments.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to her family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
