Bob grew up in LeMars, Iowa, and, after high school graduation, attended Stanford University on a basketball scholarship. He graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering in 1961, and married fellow classmate, Judith Linklater, later that year. After working in both Northern and Southern California, the couple moved to Boston, where Bob got his M.B.A. at the Harvard Business School. Then they settled in Manhattan Beach, California where daughters Laura Ann and Amy Elizabeth were born.Bob first came to Lake Havasu City as general manager of Campbell Boats. In 1973, he purchased the company and the family moved to the new town of 7, 500 people.Bob was always active in the community, working with the Marine Association, the Chamber of Commerce, the PED and the hospital. A Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, he also served as mayor from 2002-05.In accordance with Bob's wishes, there will be no services, but Judy, Laura, Amy and husband Ty Glennon invite his friends to join them for Bob's favorite, "Burgers, Boats and Beer" Sunday at 1 p.m. at Campbell Boats.Condolences may be sent via contactus@lietz-frazefuneralhome.comThose wishing to may send a memorial gift to the Lake Havasu Museum of History, 320 London Bridge Rd.
