Obituary of Richard NUNLEY

Richard Bruce Nunley, 69, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on December 15, 1938 in Oklahoma City, OK; to Cecil J. Nunley and Mildred (Newcomer) Hansen.Richard was a loving husband and father and has been "River" since the early 60's. He was a self-employed roofer in La Mirada, CA; and following retirement, moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 11 years ago. Richard enjoyed time on the lake fishing, and hunting with family and friends. His favorite music was rock and country and he enjoyed local sports teams such as the Suns and Diamondbacks.Richard is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carol Nunley; son, Richard Nunley and wife Lorrie of La Mirada, CA; daughter, Holly C. Afusia and husband Milo of Lake Havasu City, AZ; mother, Mildred Hansen of LaVerkin, UT; sister, Lea Osiek of La Verkin, UT; and his grandson, "Buddy" Tamilo Afusia Jr; who he loved with all his heart. He was preceded in death by his father.A Celebration of Life will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Friday, October 3, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be presented by Rev.
