Clayton Charles Jotblad, 84, passed away October 8th, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Born in Frederic, Wisconsin on October 7th, 1924, he spent his young years as a farm boy in the nearby town of Freya. Clayton moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota at the age of 18 and left at the age of 20 to serve his country as a Merchant Marine during WWII. After the war, he returned to Wisconsin where he fell in love with a local girl, his future bride, Mary Lou Peterson. They were married on November 22, 1947 and spent 56 happy years together.Clayton spent his entire forty year career working at Scott-Atwater Outboard Motors in Minneapolis and continued with McCulloch Corporation after their acquisition. He retired in 1986 as the foreman of sub-assembly. He moved with the company in 1963 to Torrance, California, where he raised four children and in 1979 he and Mary Lou relocated to Lake Havasu City where they also enjoyed their retirement years.Clayton was a quiet man whose actions spoke louder than his words. His lifetime was spent caring for, lifting up, and loving his disabled wife who preceded him in death and with whom he will now spend eternity.Clayton is survived by his children Gary of Laguna Niguel, California, Sue of Boulder, Colorado, Barb Ralphs of Huntington Beach, California, David of Lake Havasu and their spouses and families, including eleven grandchildren: Karrie, Heather, Sharon, Melissa, Allison, Jackie, Charli, Trevor, Courtney, Eric, Chris, and three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Grace and Lillie. Clayton is preceded in death by his parents, David and Maime Jotblad, brothers, Norman and Donald and sister Joyce.The Jotblad family wishes to thank the health care professionals and staff of Lake Hills Inn for making his days there so happy.Visitation will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, October 11, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral services will immediately follow. Military Honors will be presented by the V.F.W.
