Dennis Carey Macklin passed away at 63 years of age on October 16, 2015 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to George and Helen Macklin on September 3, 1952 in Pasadena, CA. He was wed to Allene Marie Coffey on June 28, 1991 in Minden, NV; they were married for 24 years. Dennis enjoyed kayaking, bicycling, go-kart racing and International Chili Society Chili Cook-offs; he was a member of Elks in CA. He loved his hat collection of almost 4000 hats. He liked to keep busy and was always coming up with new projects; he was very organized. He was also quite a talker and enjoyed many conversations with his wife. Dennis is survived by his wife, Allene Macklin of Lake Havasu City, AZ; step-sons, Douglas Wright of Gilbert, AZ and David Wright of Lake Forrest, CA; sister, Patti Waterson of Bishop, CA and 4 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Macklin. Dennis was always smiling and friendly. There were no strangers to him; just people he hadn't met yet. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
