At age 94, Helen Anna Beck Eastridge passed away early Friday morning, October 31, 2008.A resident of Lake Havasu City since 1972, Helen was an active and much loved member of the community. Her volunteer activities included the Havasu Regional Medical Center, Community Presbyterian Church, the women's charitable organization the PEO Sisterhood, and the Lake Havasu Republican Women.Born September 29, 1914 in Springfield, IL, Helen was raised in SacCity, IA. As an adult, she relocated to Seattle where she served as a personnel manager for Boeing Aircraft during World War II. There she met her husband Benjamin Ralph Eastridge and they married on January 27,1951.Helen leaves many, many dear friends and a loving family comprised of her husband of 57 years, Ralph; her son Edward of Lake Havasu City; her daughter Susan (Jeffery) Arnold of McLean, VA; her sister Katherine Kreft of Seattle; her sister-in-law Dorothy Beck also of Seattle; her granddaughter Leslie Eastridge; her grandchildren Christine (John) Fruehwirth, Stephen (Farrah) Arnold, and six great grandchildren.Services for Helen will be held Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. at Community Presbyterian Church, located at 3450 Chemehuevi Boulevard, Lake Havasu City. A charitable organization is being set up in Helen's honor (Helens-Helpers. com) by her friends and family to raise money to support personal caregivers in the home for elderly women in our community. In lieu of flowers, a donation to this charitable organization or to one of the many charitable and volunteer organizations Helen supported throughout her life would be appreciated.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
