Obituary of James Dorais Larson

Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
James Dorais Larson passed away on October 18, 2015 at 73 years of age in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Arthur and Clara Larson on October 21, 1941 in Torrance, CA. He was wed to Pearl Lorraine Spence in 1960; they were together since 1958. James enjoyed a good laugh with his buddies for 30 years working, together, in construction all over California. He was known for his quality work in drywall. Upon retiring from the painters union, he started a second career as a longshoreman and security guard at the harbor. James is survived by his wife, Pearl Lorraine; son, David, daughter, Sheri; and sister, Lynn; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Clara Larson. James was a fun loving guy who was never short of humor. Many enjoyed stories of his mildly crazy life told only as he could tell them. He worked hard, played hard and was always thankful for what he had and who he was. In his home and in his truck you will find a Bible at the ready that he referenced throughout his life. Knowing he would walk with the Lord in the end, he walked proud on this earth to be whoever the Lord needed him to be. He was the true definition of a righteous man. He would give the shirt off his back and would do anything for anyone. He is loved by many and is dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, November 3rd at 1 pm. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory. Thoughts and condolences may be sent to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
