L. Joan Rudolph, 82, passed away on December 22, 2008 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born on May 13, 1926 in Denver, Colorado to William and Anna (Beien) Ottele.Joan owned a discount lighting store in Moreno Valley, California for 5 years before moving to Lake Havasu City 15 years ago. She attended Our Lady of Loretta until the eighth grade then she attended and graduated from the original Las Vegas High School.One of her favorite past times was to spend time with her many grandchildren, offroading in her dune buggy at the Salton Sea. Joan was a great square dancer, and also solo pilot. She enjoyed playing pinochle, collecting Indian baby dolls and figurines and collecting teddy bears. She loved her house and yard and had the most beautiful yard on Saratoga Ave.Joan is survived by her loving husband of 47 years William "Bill" L. Rudolph of Lake Havasu City Arizona; daughters Sharon Monteleone of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Karen Manion of Kingman, Arizona, Denise Schultz of Danbury, Iowa and Janice Rudolph of Long Beach, California; brother Lyle Ottele of Minden, Nevada; sister Billie Schuler of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her son Gary D. Rudolph.A Scripture Service will be held on Wednesday December 24, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Lietz-Fraze Chapel with Deacon Gilbert Lopez officiating. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in Joan's name to Hospice of Havasu, P O Box 597, Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86405.Thoughts and condolences can be sent to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
