Obituary of Helga SCHMIDT

It is with great joy that we announce that Helga Schmidt had her date with God on January 18, 2009. She was born in Berlin, Germany on June 15, 1928. She came to America in 1947 to marry her beloved husband Roy. She lived most of her life in Michigan City, IN. She spent the last eight years in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Helga peacefully left the Earth surrounded by the strength and love from her family. She now has her red shoes on, and is dancing with both her Maker and her husband! We rejoice knowing that she is now in a better place.She is survived by her loving daughter Barbara (John) Nygren of Lake Havasu City, AZ; her granddaughter Heidi (Patrick) Trejo and their children Ethan and Emma also of Lake Havasu City and her eldest granddaughter Kim (Cade) Densmore and their children Kylie and Chance of Clarkdale, AZ. She has rejoined her husband Roy James Schmidt after many long years of waiting. We love her, miss her much, and praise God for all of the gifts and memories she has filled our hearts with!A celebration of Helga's life will be held in Lake Havasu City, on Sunday, January 25, 2009, 1:00 PM at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Pastor James Price will offer words of comfort and inspiration. Services will also be held in Michigan City, Indiana in July, 2009.
