Marvin Henry Gese was 64 years old when he passed on Wednesday, February 4, 2009. Marvin was born in Aberdeen, SD; to Frank and Virginia Gese, on January 19, 1945.Throughout his life, Marvin was a man of few words, but had a soul filled with courage and determination. In 1962, his heart filled with passion and love, when he met his one and only Marie. The couple fell headfirst into young love and were married on May 1st. 1965. After marriage, Marvin and Marie began the journey of parenting. Together they had a son, Jeffery; a daughter, Carmen and the youngest son, Darin. In some time and with a family in tow, Marvin and Marie left the chill of South Dakota for the hot rays of Arizona. Once settled in Lake Havasu City, Marvin released his true calling as an entrepreneur. For 27 years, Marvin and his family owned Gese Flooring, a prosperous and small town floor covering business. In 2007, Marvin retired, trading in his tool belt for a more relaxing avenue. Before and after his retirement, Marvin had hobbies that kept his spirits up and his body active. Diamondbacks baseball and his granddaughter's softball career were amongst his greatest pastimes. When he wasn't dressed up in catcher's gear, Marvin loved showing breeding, and owning MGM Miniature Horses of Arizona.Marvin "Papa" Henry Gese was a man who was well liked by friends and was loved and cherished by family. He taught his grandkids to stand tall, his children to persevere and his wife to have faith and love. Although his physical time has ended, his family holds their memories precious.
