Obituary of Orville Wayne MELCHI

Orville DeWayne Melchi, passed way on Friday, February 6, 2009, in Lake Havasu City, AZ; at the age of 81. He was born on May 15, 1927 in Grabil, IN; to Earl and Normandy (Smith) Melchi.Orville proudly served in the United States Army from December 21, 1945 to June 16, 1947. Following his discharge from the military, Orville returned to Indiana and worked as a machinist for Zollner Corp. in Ft. Wayne, IN: for 20 years. He moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 26 years ago from Ft. Wayne, IN; along with his wife Grace. Orville is survived by his son; Gary Melchi of Angola, IN; daughter, Becky Kinder and her husband Steve of Broomfield, CO; brother, Robert Melchi and his wife Patricia of Spencerville, IN; sisters, Betty Marshell and Mary Melchi, both of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Jacob, Nick, Emily, Lindsey, and great grandchildren, Ashton, Leif, Samuel and Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his wife Grace, who passed away on February 24, 2003.Military Honors will be held for Orville at the V.F.W. Post 9401, 266 London Bridge Rd. on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Members of the V.F.W.
