Delphine Olson passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2009 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 85. She was born on May 13, 1923 in Parkers Prairie, MN to Alfred and Eugenia (Sjidin) Malmgren.Delphine worked as an accountant for the Veterans Administration in Fargo, N.D. and Palo Alto, CA, retiring after 30 years of service. She moved to Lake Havasu City 25 years ago from Pelican Rapids, MN and became a member of the VFW Ladies Auxilary, American Legion and the Eagles. She loved to play pool, participating in league play and also enjoyed playing poker and her trips to Laughlin.Delphine is survived by her daughter, Susan (Ted) Klimek of Lake Havasu City; grandchildren, Kirsten Allen and Kody Klimek and great grandchildren, Danielle and Reid Allen.A celebration of Delphine's life will be held on Monday, March 16, 2009, 1:00 PM at the V.F.W. Post 9401, 266 London Bridge Rd. with the V.F.W. Ladies Auxilary conducting the service.The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Delphine's name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
