Obituary of Lawrence Edward Sears

Lawrence (Larry) Edward Sears passed away on November 1, 2015. Larry was born in Long Beach, California on May 27, 1941. Larry joined the Air Force in 1959 and came home to join Ford Motor Company working for more than 30 years at the Yucca Proving Ground. He was very active in Masonic Lodge, the Moose and especially with the Elks Lodge 2399 where he served as Exalted Ruler in 1988, State Elks Officer in 1999 and chairman of numerous committees including PER fund raising events and Special Olympics. Larry was best known as volunteer Lodge Chef at the Elks where he grilled and sliced fantastic meals for many Lodge members and friends over the years. He was preceded in death by his parents, LV and Mary Walker Sears; his brother, Richard Sears; sister, Beverly Sears Wickland. He is survived by his brother, Dave Sears of Ukraine, Russia; his four children, Candace Simmons of Lake Havasu City, Debbie (Bob) Salerno of Las Vegas, Mark (Debbie) Sears of Ferndale, Washington and Steven Sears of Hurdland, Missouri and 7 grandchildren. The Sears family would like to thank our many friends and all sides of our large extended family for their love and support during this time. A celebration of Larry's life will be held on December 5, 2015 at the Elks Lodge 2399 on 3532 McCulloch Blvd. N at 11 am. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
