Obituary of Doris QUINN

Doris Irene Quinn passed away in Lake Havasu City on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the age of 90. She was born near Ashland Nebraska on February 23, 1919 to Otto and Mable (Clyde) Quass.She graduated from Ashland High School in 1936. In October of 1937 she married Martin Quinn in CA and together they celebrated 65 years of marriage.Doris and her husband, Martin moved to Lake Havasu City AZ in 1985 from East Nicolaus, CA. She enjoyed trail riding on her horses and raising her Appaloosas. Doris also enjoyed arts and crafts. While in Lake Havasu City, she was a member of the Eagles Aerie 4299 and the Elks Lodge 2399.Doris is survived by her son Douglas Quinn of Green Valley, AZ; sisters, Rose Frahm of Ceresco NE, Maurine Sandles of Mindeu NV and Nellie Hall of Marysville CA; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin; son, Jerry and sisters, Vera Buster and Shirley Williams.Memorial services will be held at a later date in Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris' name to the American Heart Association.When I am gone release me let me go,I have so many things to see and doYou mustn't tie yourself to me with tearsBe happy that we had those years.I gave you my love.
