Our beloved Angela "Julie" Mitchell peacefully passed away and joined the angels in heaven on March 18, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. Angela was the oldest of five children born to Joseph and Winifred Fusco on January 30, 1929, London, England. At the age of 15, Angela fell madly in love with Leslie Mitchell. They quickly married and followed her parents to Johannesburg, South Africa. By the age of 34, Angela had four children. She was very ambitious and owned and operated two hair salons in Durban, South Africa.June 6, 1969, Angela moved with her family to America and settled in Southern California. In 1984, Lake Havasu City and the London Bridge beckoned Angela and Leslie. They opened up Coat of Arms International in the English Village, as well as, Family Crest Research Center in Lahaina, Maui and Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon retiring, Angela and Les returned to Lake Havasu.Known to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and their many friends and family as "Ouma" she was truly an amazing, beautiful and loving person. She created a unique and special bond with every person in her life. She will always be our "Shining Star."She is survived by her son, Stephen Mitchell (Fumiyo) of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Suzanne Anthony (Richard) of Henderson, NV; Angela Bova (Gary) of Simi Valley, CA and Janine Oliver Lake Havasu City, AZ; Grandchildren, Alanna Ganas (Andrew), Joe Bova, Christian Anthony, Tony Bova, Keith Anthony, Nicole Mitchell, Brian Mitchell, Gina Bova, Julie Oliver, Ashlie Oliver and Michael Bova; Great Grandchildren, Athena and Anthony GanasShe is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leslie Mitchell.Services will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home March 21, 2009, at 2:00 p.m.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
