Obituary of Alice STONE

Alice Stone 1921-2009Alice May Stone, 87, of Sylmar, California, passed awayMarch 21 at the Polidori house hospice facility in Lake Havasu City, Arizona after a long battle with ovarian cancer.She spent most of her life in Southern California working asa waitress. She enjoyed watching the Dodger baseball gameson TV, attending her grandson's ice skating competition, visiting her son in Big Bear, and her daughter in Lake Havasu.She was preceded in death by: two husbands and the loveher life Herald Hoagland with whom she spent 25 years of herlife traveling around the country and working as a volunteer for the red cross. They worked on blood drives two days a week in different locations in Southern California.She is survived by her son Don (Yvonne) Phillips of Big Bear, California; her daughter, Sharon (Ralph) Spencer of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; four Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. The family would like to thank the Polidori House in Lake Havasu and the Hospice personnel and volunteers for there loving care. Arrangements were made by Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
