Obituary of Charles LAURENCE

Charles Matthew Laurence passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the age of 79. Chuck, as he was known to his family and friends, was born on November 12, 1929 in New Orleans, LA.Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Army and following his military service, went to work as an electrician. Chuck enjoyed many outdoor activities; among those were golfing, boating, scuba diving and motorcycling. He also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino for gambling. Chuck was a member of the American Legion Post 81, Eagles Aerie 4299 and Elks Lodge 2399.Chuck and his wife, Lorraine moved to Lake Havasu City in 2000 from Sonoma, CA.Chuck is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lorri; sons, Robert "Bob" (Terri) Laurence of Natick, MA and Marc Laurence of Sonoma, CA; grandchildren, Chris, Mike and Preston Laurence.Scripture services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, followed by military honors performed by the Marine Corps League Lake Havasu Detachment.In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Chuck's name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405 or to a charity of your choice.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Crematory.
