Obituary of William NEATHERY

William John Neathery passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at his home in Lake Havasu City at the age of 94. Bill as he was known by his friends and family was born on September 15, 1914 in Arkadelphia, AR to Titus and Ida (Hammond) Neathery.Following graduation from high school, Bill enlisted in the United States Navy, beginning a career that would span 23 years. Bill traveled the world while in the Navy and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. Bill then went to work for Morrison Knudson as an overseas camp manager. He moved to Lake Havasu City 14 years ago from Anaheim, CA.Bill is survived by his wife of 10 years, Margaret Neathery of Lake Havasu City; step-son, Greg (Lori) Bachmann of Parker, AZ; grandchildren, Sean Miller, Kris Bachmann and Ashley Bachmann. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha; son, William Neel and daughter, Sheila Neathery.Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Rounds officiating. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009, 1:30 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, CA.
