Everett Willis Doty, 71, passed away November 1, in Lake Havasu City. He was born to Pauline & Arthur Doty in Olney, Illinois. He wed Darlene Doty in 1963, in Torrance, California; they were married for over 52 years.
Everett was self-employed as an automotive mechanic for over 44 years. He owned a Phillip 66 and Mobil Service Station with AAA towing in Southern California for 23 years. He moved to Lake Havasu City in 1992 and opened Arizona Repair and Towing semi-retiring after 21 years.
Everett is survived by his wife, Darlene Doty of Lake Havasu City; son, Everett A. Doty of Lake Havasu City; daughter, Mary Tomasello (Richard) of Lake Havasu City and 4 grandchildren, Christopher Tomasello, Nicole Tomasello of Lake Havasu City; Michael Doty, Shana Brunet (Steven) of Franklin, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents & two sisters.
Everett loved fishing, boating & camping. He was involved with building and restoring old cars. He could be seen daily driving his red 1963 Chevy Impala or his blue and white 1955 Chevy Belair to town for coffee. For many years, Everett played Santa Claus for several organizations in town. He was a member of the Eagle's 4299. Everett never met a stranger. He was a very loving and giving person. He was an organ donor and he is still giving to others.
There will be no services per his request.
