Obituary of Lloyd COHOON

Lloyd Harrison Cohoon, 85, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2009 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on May 22, 1923 in Pocahontas, AR; to Melvin H. and Iris G. (Ulmer) Cohoon.Lloyd moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 15 years ago with his wife Lorraine from Bishop, CA. He worked as a self employed aircraft mechanic in Bishop, CA; for 41 years. Lloyd proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, WWII and was a member of the Marine Corps League.Lloyd is survived by his son, Bruce Cohoon of Modesto, CA; daughters, Lorraine Knoepfle of Modesto, CA; Karen Riley of Milton, FL; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine L. Cohoon on April 13, 1995; parents, Melvin and Iris Cohoon and his brother Gerald Cohoon.A Memorial Service will be held at Bethany Bible Church on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Words of wisdom and inspiration will be expressed by Pastor Jerry Adams and military honors will be presented by the Marine Corps League.
