Obituary of Richard Don Graeser

Richard Don Graeser passed away on November 1, 2015 at 85 years of age in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Paul Graeser and Ruth (Sager) Graeser on December 29, 1929 in Wausau, Wisconsin. He wed Carolyn Kay Cosper in Tallahasee, Florida; they were married for 35 years.
Richard graduated from Ohio State University. He joined and had discharged from the U.S. Navy when the Korean War broke out. He re-enlisted in 1950 and served his country as a Korean War Veteran aboard the Aircraft Carrier, U.S.S. Cabot. He was trained and served as a Hospital Corpsman.
Richard was a supervisor for the Department of Labor. He enjoyed being near water, boating, swimming and fishing. He traveled all over the country and Canada. He was very skilled at tooling leather and loved making gifts for friends and family. He enjoyed visiting with old friends and family.
Richard is survived by his wife, Carolyn Graeser of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter, Karen Smith of Jacksonville Beach, FL; sons, Richard P. Graeser of Portland, OR, Mark R. Graeser (Juliann) of Atlantic Beach, FL, David A. Graeser (Vicki) of Jacksonville, FL, Stephen B. Graeser (Katrina) of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Ruth Graeser; sister, Janice (Graeser) Mitchell and brother, Robert Graeser.
Memorial donations may be made to Lake Havasu School District.
